1985 52’ Hatteras Convertible - currently located in Ensenada, Baja California, MX  

This is arguably the best conditioned and out-fitted Hatteras of this size and vintage available on the west coast. This 2 stateroom model twin 735 hp Detroit Diesel 8v92 fishing machine is ready to take you to Cabo, Canada, or Catalina whenever you may go. The boat’s paint is in very nice condition so she looks newer than her age. The bow rails are all stainless steel and have been extended back to the cockpit for added safety.  

The bow is equipped with a windlass, 1000lb Jackson davit, stainless steel dingy cradle, and a live bait tank. The cockpit is spacious and big game ready with 2 large bait tanks fed by pool-type pumps, tuna tubes, 21 stainless rod holders, 13-rod gunnel holders, gimbal-mounted fishfinder, tackle station, and freezer. Scotty electrical outlets are rigged in the corners for electric reels /downriggers. There are lower engine controls and of course Rupp outriggers.  The engine room is tidy as the owner believes in continual maintenance. 

The engines run great as do the Onan 20 kW and Northern lights 8kw generators. You’ll find that the watermaker, all the ac units, hot water tank, auto oil changer, bilge pumps, and high water alarms are fully functional.  Up top, you’ll notice immediately that the half tower and tuna tower are constructed out of stainless steel rather than aluminum. They will stay shiny and bright with minimal care and not age poorly like aluminum construction. Outfitted in micro-commanders. 

The bridge is fully enclosed in isinglass panels which are clean and clear. The controls are Mather Micro Commanders and there are 2 chart plotters, 2 autopilots, 2 ais radios, pa system, dual-engine gauge layout, flow scans, and a rudder indicator. The tuna tower has controls and a fishfinder too.  While the outside of the boat is all business, the inside has your comfort in mind. 

The salon seats 7-8, all the soft goods have been replaced recently and the boat looks fresh and clean. Enjoy the retractable 58’ flat screen, bose stereo system, and wet bar after a day of fishing or cruising. 

The kitchen has porcelain countertops, a stainless full-size fridge, stainless steel backsplash, 3 burner stove/ oven, and ample storage.  

The master stateroom has a queen bed, a nice size closet, and an attached bathroom with a shower. There is also a 2nd fully equipped bathroom to port. There is also a stacked washer dryer in the hallway leading to the front stateroom. The forward stateroom has 2 comfortable bunks, storage drawers, and a full-sized closet.
